We’re excited to invite you to dive into the Great North Swim Challenge, happening virtually from 1st September to 27th September 2026. This is your chance to race against fellow swimmers from Billingham Forum, IB Leisure, Stockton Splash, and Thornaby Pool in an individual competition.
Swimmers will be ranked based on their total swim time, so every second counts. It's a great opportunity to improve your stamina, compete with friends, and have a ton of fun along the way.
So, grab your swim cap and let's hit the water! Dive in, and let’s see who reaches the finish line first. Ready, set, swim!To celebrate the Great North Run we are having the Great North Swim! This challenge asks you to swim from the Tyne Bridge, along the River Tyne to the North Sea.
