We look forward to seeing your names climb the leaderboard. Happy swimming! 🏊‍♀️ 🏊‍♂️Easter Island, situated in the South Eastern Pacific is a World Heritage site and one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world. The land has been populated since around 1200AD, when early Polynesian settlers created a vibrant industrious community and build the famous extant head shaped monumental statues called Moai. This swim takes you around the Rapa Nui National Park. Beginning next to the Ahu Vinapu statues and taking you around the South West corner of the island around the Rano Kau volcano & crater lake, past the ceremonial village of Orongo and up the West coast. After passing Hanga Piko your swim will finish at the Ahu Tahai monument (pictured), one of the most recognisable on the island.
