The Saigon River (Vietnamese: Sông Sài Gòn)rises near Phum Daung in southeastern Cambodia, flows south and southeast for about 230 km (140 mi) and empties into the Nhà Bè River, which in its turn empties into the South China Sea some 20 km (12 mi) northeast of the Mekong Delta.
This swim will take you along the final 29km of the route, beginning at the Binh Trieu Bridge, you'll follow the river as it meanders through Ho Chi Minh City past the Binh Hoi peninsula and past Landmark 81 the skyscraper and tourist attraction (pictured). From there you'll pass Sala Park and round Tan Thuan Dong Export Processing Zone before finishing where the river drains into the Nhà Bè River.
