After May's shorter challenge along Miami Beach, we've got a longer challenge for you to try and complete in the coming months! Can you swim all the way to the Isle of Man? The total distance is 103km so we're giving you 4 months in total to finish from 1st June to 30th September. And if you finish there's a great prize up for grabs. Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into a prize draw to win a year's swimming membership here at Sport Blackpool! Good luck.Set in the Irish Sea, between England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, the Isle of Man is a unique self-governing kingdom - with its own parliament, laws, traditions, culture and postage stamps.
On a clear day the Isle of Man can be clearly seen from the top of Blackpool tower and promenade.
Without battling against the fierce waves, currents and swarms of jellyfish the swim sets out from the Blackpool Tower Headlands swimming as the crow flies West North West 101km across the Irish Sea where you will safely reach the sweeping bay and harbour of Douglas, Isle Of Man.
